It wasn't difficult to find inspiration for an art piece from this Chinese Proverb.
As one who deals with anxiety, a fear of change, as well as, perfectionism and the temptation to constantly criticize my progress in life's journey, this quote reminds me that simply refusing to stand still and remain stagnant is enough.
As a nature lover and admirer of the natural cycle of life, the symbolism of a flower growing up and stretching towards the sky no matter what barriers it faces, inspires me to keep on keeping on, one step at a time.
The speed or manner in which we grow is not what matters most.
It is simply the refusal to stop trying, give up or accept defeat.
